daiva + tim's northwoods wisconsin wedding in minocqua

let me begin by saying gusssssshhhhhh. daiva and tim's wedding was infused with personal touches & emotion from beginning to end, and that's just what i adore documenting. not only was the minocqua location meaningful, the priest was a longtime friend, the traditions were rooted in daiva's family's lithuanian culture (the sashes! the krupnika! the singing and dancing! the cake!), the hammock references were aplenty (they got engaged in one), the light in the northwoods was perfectly ON POINT, and both tim and daiva and their parents were the most welcoming people one could hope for. and on and on i could go. it was a long day of coverage for a photographer, but i ended the night revived rather than exhausted. a testament to everything and everyone.

congratulations, daiva and tim! thank you so much for including me in your weekend and letting me into a portion of your world. xoxo. and not to be forgotten ... i want to send a special thanks to the amazing wedding professionals: my dear friend stephanie ricketts on day-of coordination, saint anthony of padua church, norwood pines (amazing staff who spotted me while i stood on a super steep rooftop!), lori's flower cottage, midwest beauty house for gorgeous hair and makeup, racine bakery in chicago for the lithuanian wedding cake, and the beacons of minocqua for a perfect getting ready location.
