they might tell you i moved to chicago for their wedding, and perhaps they weren't entirely wrong. a couple days into my new illinois residency, i caught a lyft and headed downtown to document a most incredible day. knowing sydney and alex a bit, i expected their wedding to be artistic, personal, and completely amazing. and well, i wasn’t let down! infused with personal style and heart, a million artistic DIY touches, a family recipe wedding cake, a very cute getting ready location, lots of 90s dance music (sweet fantasy, anyone?), an overwhelmingly stunning and photogenic backdrop, and emotion galore (ugh, the BEST for a photographer like me) … i couldn’t get enough! beat, beat, heartbeat. i’m just lucky to have been part of this day, and i’m glad i moved to chicago for it ;)
