fourth time spending an evening with this family, taking their photos. and from my perspective, it only gets better. gosh, i want to hang out with them more, but the whole separate cities thing. i feel so much vulnerability, heart, grit, and SOUL around all of them. laura and ben are talented photographers, but more importantly, they're incredible and incredibly kind human beings. they put me at ease, easily. no pretense, ever. life as life.
this time around the shoot was a surprise from ben to laura. she had no idea i would be there, and i love how that made the photos even more raw, stripped of any and all performance or expectation. <3 <3
