The bride getting ready is one of my favorite parts of every wedding day. I love walking-in to find a laid-back bride surrounded by the excited energy of her closest friends and family. It sets the tone for the entire day, and I especially love it when this takes place in the bride’s home or her parents’ home. A home has so many stories to tell.
Kathleen’s nieces were around as she got ready, and not to sound cheesy … but I thought they looked like angels. Their energy was ethereal and serene and so sweet. They looked straight out of a Vermeer painting.
I’m smitten with couples who drive off in vintage cars and row into their receptions in boats. So clearly … I don’t even have to explain more here. Bryce and Kathleen are amazing and I enjoyed the whole day — it flew by.
Not only is Kathleen a talented art director and artist in general … she also designed her own wedding dress. What! Yeah. So awesome.
Just a few of my favorites from the day:
I took & posted a lot of photos of the adorable and personalized desserts. Sorry I’m not sorry. I think I was really hungry while editing…
I feel so lucky to work with the most awesome wedding professionals at most of my weddings. K & B’s wedding was no exception. A shout-out to Jennyface, b.suite, Underground Food Collective, Bloom Bake Shop, Traveling Photobooth, and Cherry Blossom Events for always being amazing to work with and for making my photos look better :)
And the biggest shout-out of all to my good friend, Nikki, who rocked it out as my assistant/second-shooter all day. Thanks NN, loveya!
