As the tide washed in, the Dutch Tulip Man faced the ocean:
“Conjoinder rejoinder poisoner concealer revelator. Look at it, rising up and rising down, taking everything with it.”
“What’s that?” I asked.
“Water,” the Dutchman said. “Well, and time.”

17 days into this Day to Day project of documenting the mundane … and it has really humbled me. I’ve always been obsessed with beauty (not pretty, but beauty) and I’ve spent my life framing and composing events, moments, scenes in my mind. I wanted a personal project like this, but I didn’t realize it would teach me so much. I’m embarrassed to know how much I never really saw before. Over the past 17 days, I’ve seen the strengths in my photography, but even more so, places I need to grow. All the things I still need to learn. This is the best thing I’ve done for myself in a while. I can’t wait to see what I learn in the next 7 days.

I’ve been digging these photographs that you have been taking! Keep it up! <3
my envelope! :)
also, love the fiesta-ware. I have the same colors… they make everything prettier. Great job Anda!
your ability to take seemingly ordinary/mundane things looks absolutely amazing and enthralling is just fantastic! i love these images and this post.
Lovely. Especially the images and words culled from The Fault in Our Stars :) (sidenote: I’m all the MORE impressed with a novelist who can create a book within a book so convincingly well…really boggles my mind the depth of such talent)
I love it. LOVE it. Not sure why but it strikes me strongly. Very awesome.
So great Anda — I love getting to see your own personal work :) So glad it’s been a good experience for you doing this! xo
Great work and explorations. Keep it up, it’s good for you, as you’re finding out :) I realized I was losing my “vision” for quite a while and finally decided to turn off all the wedding blogs and such and concentrate on the lighting and objects around me and it’s helped. I’m seeing anew again and I love it. It’s coming slowly, but surely. I just haven’t shared them yet. I’m glad you are, it’s even more inspiration for us :)
I just found your blog and LOVE IT!Your photos are amazing. I wish I was half as good as you are. I think I recognize the art metal room…MATC? I took classes there and loved it!
